It didn't take us long to find our way to the beach after moving to California. I think the very first weekend we were here we made the drive south to Santa Barbara for a little fun!
Dane charged the waves over an over. He likely would be shark bate right now if Matt didn't keep a death grip on his hand. Dane could have spent hours playing in the waves.
Eliza liked being teased by the waves as they kissed her chubby toes. She would squeal when the water rushed over her sand castles. Eliza was all about collecting the seaweed and asking every 5 seconds, "what's this?" She was equally excited to get to wear her pink swim suit as she was to play at the beach. All girl!
Emma would have charged the waves and drowned had we let her. She was frustrated when we wouldn't let go of her. Luckily she was somewhat content to play in the sand with Eliza. She did not like the seaweed...rather, she was afraid of it.
We camped out on the beach for a few hours under two of the best purchases of our lives. Giant umbrellas. Worth every penny!
After the kids were filled with salt water and lunch we made our way back to our car and stripped those little babies down! We are proof that you can go to the beach and come back with hardly a speck of sand in your car! It was quite amazing! Those poor kids might have been traumatized though! Baby powder works wonders at the beach!
We can't wait for next year's beach season!
