Christmas 2013
One of our favorite Christmas activities this past year was driving through the base neighborhoods to look at lights. We must have loaded our kids up three or four times to oooh and aaaah over the lights. I am not sure if they loved it because it was fun or because they didn't have to wear shoes…or seat belts. Either way. They were happy little kiddos.
We also put up lights! I have been pining away for the year when putting lights on our house was a logical Christmas activity. Prior to this year it just never made much sense.
Matt's parents came into town for Christmas. Grandparents are always a good addition to the Christmas fun! The kids made sugar cookies, played, read books, and ran wild while Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed the craziness!
Christmas morning is always such a great time. To hear the squeals as the kids catch their first sight of the tree… and presents! Dane and Eliza both came rushing into our room to tell us Santa had been there. We opened our stockings and oohed and ahhed over their scooters and kitchen. Then onto breakfast! We have decided (at least for now) we like the tradition of waffles on Christmas morning. That tradition is a little lost on the kids (as they would rather just have oatmeal) but Matt and I sure appreciate the tradition!
Once Grandpa and Grandma arrived we opened the rest of the gifts! Dolls, marble run, clothes, magna forms, Sofia, and Spiderman! We had a few happy little kids that morning!
