What a great day!
Our Fourth of July began with a ward breakfast at a nearby park. We ate, the kids played, and when it started to get too hot we boogied...to the swimming pool. It was a perfect day for the pool and not too crowded. Just the way we like it. Next, we headed home for lunch and a nap. The kids were in need of both!
That evening we headed to our friends house for some BBQ and fireworks.
We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the evening.
Dane and Ryan (one of his good friends) getting ready for the fireworks to begin. What is better than two two-year olds with popsicles?
Eliza LOVED the fireworks! Can you tell? After every firework she cheered.
What a sweet girl!
We bought some "sparklers" for $1.00...and that was about what they were worth.
Oh well, I suppose to a two year old and one year old the high quality sparklers will have to wait!
The Bradford Family
It was a low key day but a great day. Sure, we live 20 minutes from our Nation's Capital but I am not sure Washington DC could top our little Fourth of July. Breakfast, pool, naps, and relaxing with friends- sounds all-American to me!
Thanks to our good friends who took these pics and fed us some good BBQ!

You guys are such a cute family. Can't wait to see what baby # 3 will look like. I want to see you! What days are best?
I don't know... Dane's face looks pretty dejected about his $1 sparkler.
